Goleman’s original model of emotional intelligence, developed in 1998, described five domains: self-awareness, self-regulation, social skills, empathy, and motivation. In 2002, it was redesigned and consists of four components. According to Goleman, EQ is a set of skills and competences that focus on four abilities: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management.
